My Name is Benjamin Hunsinger. I’m from Decatur, Georgia and graduated Georgia State University with a B.F.A.

I’ve been painting since I was a child, and have always been drawn to abstract compositions.

I like to play with color and space while adding elements of the human figure. During my Education in college, I was drawn to capturing the human body, and life drawing. I integrate elements of the figure and realism, into an abstract landscape. I want to portray the human figure into abstract compositions, to fully express how elements humanity fit into color and space, to fully realize a developed perception of reality. Sometimes I focus on specific features of the human form, while at times I let abstraction completely take over. These two conflicting themes make a narrative in my work focusing on the internal vs external world, we all individually process.

I want the viewer to see my art as a reflection of the human experience, trying to define what experiences can’t be explained by words.
